Three Powerful Engines

The 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 doesn’t disappoint when it comes to performance. Its three advanced engines give Saskatchewan and Alberta drivers more choices when it comes to engine power and fuel-efficiency:

  • The 4.3L V6 EcoTec3 engine houses 285 hp and 305 lb-ft of torque, offering a smart blend of power and handling.
  • Cranking out 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque, the 5.3L V8 EcoTec3 engine is tough and work-ready. With two-wheel drive, it scores a best-in-class EPA-estimated 14.7 L/100 km city / 10.2 L/100 km highway rating – giving you plenty of power without guzzling fuel.
  • Perfect for drivers looking for extra vigor, the 6.2L V8 EcoTec3 engine generates a staggering 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque.

Towing Capacities

Engineered to haul heavy loads without breaking a sweat, the Silverado offers the power and tech you need to get the job done. StabiliTrak with Electronic Sway Control and an available integrated trailer brake controller deliver well-balanced and solid control, allowing you to tow from point A to point B with ease. Hardened, long-lasting Duralife brake rotors are also available to Lloydminster and Sherwood Park drivers, and provide stronger stopping power than conventional rotors.
Each of the Silverado’s three available engines brings varying towing capabilities to the table. The 4.3L engine hauls up to 3,447 kilograms, making it a comparatively heavy-duty choice. The 5.3L V8 and 6.2L V8 engines, on the other hand, tow a maximum of 5,035 kilograms and 5,670 kilograms, respectively. So, whether you need moderate hauling power, or a best-in-class 5,670-kilogram towing capacity, the Silverado is good to go.

Interior Tech Features

Offering both brawn and intelligence, the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado not only streamlines heavy workloads, it also keeps drivers in the loop. The Silverado Pickup’s available Chevrolet MyLink technology includes a 178- to 203-millimetre diagonal color touchscreen. Bluetooth connectivity is also included with Chevy MyLink, which offers hands-free calling, navigation, and audio control. Also, Chevrolet MyLink comes equipped with Apply CarPlay support – letting you access your iPhone without taking your hands off the wheel.
As if Chevrolet MyLink isn’t enough, the 2017 Silverado 1500 is the first full-size pickup to boast available 4G LTE Wi-Fi. Able to support up to seven devices, the connection is stronger than what’s available on your smartphone, and offers endless infotainment possibilities for you and your passengers. The Silverado is also the first full-size pickup to offer an available wireless charging pad, which is situated in the center armrest. This convenient feature allows drivers and passengers to cordlessly charge compatible smartphones.
